Description

This Antioxidant Rich Blueberry Green Tea is a refreshing and healthy beverage combining the detoxifying qualities of green tea with the antioxidant power of blueberries. Slightly sweetened with clover honey and brightened with fresh lemon juice, it’s a perfect herbal drink to cool down with or enjoy any time you need a revitalizing boost.

Ingredients

Scale

Liquid Base

  • 6 cups water
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

Tea

  • 4 green tea bags (Stash brand recommended)

Fruits and Sweetener

  • 1 cup blueberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1/4 cup clover honey (adjust to taste)

Garnish

  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices
  • Fresh mint leaves

Instructions

  1. Heat Water: Bring 6 cups of water almost to a boil in a large pot, then turn off the heat to prepare for steeping the tea.
  2. Steep Tea: Add 4 green tea bags to the pot and cover with a lid. Let the tea bags steep for 3 minutes to extract flavor.
  3. Remove Tea Bags: Take out the tea bags from the pot once steeped to avoid bitterness.
  4. Blend with Blueberries: Pour the brewed tea into a blender, add 1 cup of blueberries, and pulse for a few seconds to mash the berries and infuse their flavor.
  5. Strain Tea: Pour the blended tea through a fine strainer into a large pitcher. Use a silicone spatula to press the mashed berries against the strainer to extract as much juice as possible.
  6. Sweeten Tea: Stir in 1/4 cup clover honey until it is fully dissolved, adjusting the amount based on desired sweetness.
  7. Add Lemon Juice: Mix in 3 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice to brighten the flavor.
  8. Chill: Refrigerate the tea until cold, ideally for at least an hour before serving.
  9. Serve: Serve the tea over ice cubes for a refreshing drink.
  10. Garnish: Add lemon slices and fresh mint leaves on top for a decorative and aromatic finish.

  • Steeping green tea for longer than 3 minutes can result in bitterness.
