Description

Delicious and easy-to-make Garlic Parmesan Bread Bites that are perfect as a savory snack or appetizer. Made with soft pizza dough, brushed with garlic butter, and topped with generous amounts of Parmesan cheese, these bite-sized treats come with a side of marinara sauce for dipping, combining classic flavors in every mouthwatering bite.

Ingredients

Scale

Dough and Topping

  • Half of one 13.8 oz tube refrigerated classic pizza crust (about 1/2 lb pizza dough)
  • 3 Tbsp melted butter, divided
  • About 1/2 tsp garlic salt, divided
  • 23 Tbsp finely grated Parmesan cheese (Parmigiano Reggiano recommended)
  • 1/4 tsp dried parsley

Dipping Sauce

  • 1/3 cup marinara or pizza sauce

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Unroll the pizza dough and cut into 1 ½ inch strips. Roll each strip into a log about the diameter of your finger, then cut each log into 1 inch nuggets. Arrange the dough nuggets evenly on a baking sheet lightly sprayed with cooking spray.
  2. First seasoning and baking: Brush 1 tablespoon of melted butter over the dough nuggets. Sprinkle lightly with about 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt, then grate about 1 tablespoon of Parmesan cheese evenly over the top. Bake the nuggets for approximately 14 minutes, rotating the pan halfway through, until they turn lightly golden brown. Avoid overbaking to prevent toughness.
  3. Final seasoning and serving: Mix the remaining 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt and 1/4 teaspoon dried parsley into the remaining 2 tablespoons of melted butter. Brush this mixture generously over the freshly baked bread bites. Push the pieces together slightly on the pan and grate an additional 1-2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese over them. Transfer the bites to a serving platter and serve warm with 1/3 cup marinara or pizza sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • Use fresh or high-quality Parmesan cheese like Parmigiano Reggiano for the best flavor.
  • Do not overbake the bread bites to keep them soft and tender inside.
  • These bread bites are best enjoyed warm and fresh out of the oven.
  • You can substitute the garlic salt with garlic powder plus a pinch of salt if preferred.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in the oven to maintain crispiness.
