  • Total Time: 2 hours 20 minutes
  • Yield: 12 peach rings 1x
  • Diet: Low Fat

Description

Delightfully sweet and naturally fruity, these Homemade Peach Rings are a vibrant, gelatin-based treat bursting with fresh peach flavor. Made from simple ingredients like fresh peaches, apple juice, honey, and unflavored gelatin, these colorful, chewy rings are a healthy alternative to store-bought gummy candies. Perfect as a snack or a light dessert, they satisfy sweet cravings with wholesome goodness and a refreshing peachy twist.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruit Mixture:

  • 1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen peaches, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup apple juice or water
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 23 tbsp honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)

Gelatin Mixture:

  • 3 tbsp unflavored gelatin

Optional:

  • Natural food coloring (orange or red) for brightness

Instructions

  1. Blend the Ingredients: In a blender, combine the peaches, apple juice, lemon juice, and honey. Blend the mixture until it is completely smooth and uniform in texture.
  2. Heat the Mixture: Pour the peach mixture into a saucepan and heat it over medium-low heat to prepare for gelatin incorporation.
  3. Dissolve the Gelatin: Sprinkle the unflavored gelatin evenly over the warm peach mixture. Stir constantly for about 3–5 minutes until the gelatin is fully dissolved and the mixture is smooth without lumps.
  4. Add Optional Coloring: If desired, add a few drops of natural orange or red food coloring to enhance the peachy color and give the rings a vibrant appearance. Stir gently to combine.
  5. Mold the Mixture: Pour the gelatin-peach mixture into silicone donut or ring molds, filling each cavity evenly.
  6. Chill to Set: Refrigerate the filled molds for 2–3 hours or until the peach rings are firm and fully set to the touch.
  7. Unmold and Store: Carefully remove the peach rings from the molds. Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator, where they will keep fresh for up to one week.

Notes

  • Use fresh peaches for the best flavor, but frozen peaches work well when out of season; thaw before use.
  • Adjust the sweetness with honey or maple syrup depending on the peach ripeness and your taste preference.
  • Use silicone molds for easy removal; alternatively, lightly grease molds if using metal or other types.
  • Natural food coloring is optional but enhances the visual appeal of the peach rings.
  • Store peach rings in a refrigerator to maintain firmness and freshness.
  • These peach rings are gluten-free and can be made vegan by substituting gelatin with agar-agar (note: setting properties and texture may vary).
