Ingredients
Scale
Dry Ingredients
- 1 cup raw walnuts
- 1/2 cup raw almonds
- 1/3 cup cacao powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
Wet Ingredients
- 12 medjool dates, pitted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1–2 tbsp maple syrup (optional, if you need it sweeter)
Instructions
- Combine Nuts and Dates: Add the walnuts, almonds, and pitted medjool dates into a food processor along with cacao powder, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Process Ingredients: Process the mixture until a sticky dough forms. If the dough is crumbly, add 1-2 tablespoons of water and process again to help ingredients adhere.
- Add Sweetener and Mix: Add the optional maple syrup now if you want a sweeter bite. Then add mini chocolate chips into the food processor and pulse a few times gently just to combine without fully blending in the chips.
- Form the Bites: Using a mini cookie scoop or teaspoon, scoop out the dough and roll it into bite-sized balls with your hands.
- Serve: Enjoy immediately or store the brownie bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
Notes
- Use medjool dates for natural sweetness and softness; other dates may not yield the same texture.
- If mixture is too dry, add water a little at a time to achieve desired stickiness.
- Store bites in the fridge to keep them firm and fresh.
- Can be frozen for longer storage; thaw before eating.
- For a nut-free version, substitute nuts with seeds such as sunflower or pumpkin seeds.
