Green Beans:
- 500 g / 1 lb green beans, ends trimmed
Seasoning:
- 2 tbsp olive oil, separated
- 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
Topping:
- 1/3 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 220C/425F or set the broiler/grill to high, positioning the shelf about 30cm/12″ from the heat source.
- Prepare the Green Beans: Place the green beans on a tray. Drizzle with 1 tbsp of oil, add garlic, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat.
- Arrange on Tray: Arrange the beans in rows on the tray, ensuring they are close together.
- Add Toppings: Sprinkle the beans with breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese. Drizzle with the remaining oil.
- Roast: Roast in the oven for 15 minutes or broil/grill for 8 minutes until the Parmesan is golden.
- Serve: Transfer the roasted green beans to a serving platter using a spatula or egg flipper. Serve immediately.
