- Add eggs and vanilla: Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Add M&Ms: Gently fold in the M&M candies until they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Bake the cookies: Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each cookie. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still slightly soft.
- Cool and serve: Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
