Description

Pasta:

  • 4 cups uncooked pasta

Cheese Sauce:

  • 6 Tablespoons butter
  • 6 Tablespoons flour
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 4 cups shredded cheese (blend of two cheeses)
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325ºF.

    Grease a 9” x 13” casserole dish. Set aside.

  2. Melt butter in a large stockpot over medium heat.

    In a separate pot, cook macaroni just under preferred doneness.

  3. Whisk in flour to form a roux; add seasonings.

    Whisk in milk and cream over medium-high heat.

  4. Whisk in 3 cups of cheese until melted.
  5. Drain pasta; do not rinse.
  6. Pour cheese sauce over cooked macaroni.
  7. Transfer to casserole dish; top with remaining cheese.
  8. Bake for 25 minutes until browned.
  9. Allow to sit for 5-10 minutes before serving.
